GL-Luigi

After I did my Green Lantern Earthworm Jim for my nephew at the Lubbock Sketch Club, his big sister wanted me to draw her a character too.

Luigi from Mario Bros. is her favorite character in the series, and she asked me to draw him.

I sort of got him right.
Although Luigi is more slender than Mario, he is still kind of round.
My apologies to Mr. Miyamoto, I'm not good at his art style.

I originally didn't intend to give this picture the GL motif, but since Luigi already wears green, I thought "Why not?", and made him a Green Lantern too.

Boy, that'll teach me a lesson.

After it was done, the 1st thing my niece said to me was:
"Luigi's overalls are Blue, not green, and his shirt is supposed to be green not black".
She went on a little further about this and that, and why the heck does he have a ring?, etc.

Gadzooks! I guess I should always oblige my client's wishes.

Not that she actually forbade anything...... but to her, this Luigi was a little off, and kids definitely know the difference.
I know just how she feels (movie Megatron's design still sucks!).
Oh well, she still took it home, and probably did some internet research on Green Lantern.
